United Nations Department of Public Information/ NGO Section launched its own website
The Outreach Division’s NGO Relations of the Department of Public Information (DPI) of the United Nations on Thursday, 3 July, launched its own website (www.un.org/dpi/ngosection/conference) designed to provide useful information -- in English and French -- to the community of non-governmental organizations (NGO) and other actors of the civil society worldwide interested in participating in and/or contributing to the work of the sixty-first annual DPI/NGO Conference. The website will constantly be updated and completed as more information becomes available.

top aides to Algiers
Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon has led a chorus of
United Nations condemnation of today's terrorist attacks in Algiers
that have reportedly killed dozens of people, including a number of UN
staff members, and he has dispatched several top aides to the Algerian

Millennium Development Goals , will take place on
Thursday, 10 April, through Saturday, 12 April 2008. The Festival will
feature film screenings, panel discussions, workshops and award
presentations. The selected films will be announced on 20 February 2008
